Privacy statement
Last updated on 7 August 2026 · applies to this website · in case of discrepancy the Dutch version prevails
This statement is about the data you submit to us yourself through this website. It is short, because this site does very little: there is no tracking, no cookies are set and nothing is stored on our servers.

We are not required to appoint a data protection officer and have not done so. You can send any questions to the email address above.
2. Which data we receive
Only what you fill in yourself. This website has two forms.
Registration for the launch discount
- Email address
- Name of your firm (optional)
Demo request
- Your name and the name of your firm
- Email address and, if you provide it, your phone number
- Number of team members
- Which systems you work with today (optional)
- Where things get stuck for you (optional, free text)
- Your preference for an online demo, a demo at the office or a meeting at RiverEvent
- The language in which you viewed the site, so that we can reply in that language
The free text fields are optional. Do not enter sensitive data or personal data of third parties there — we do not need them to give you a demo.
We keep no visitor statistics and build no profiles. See the cookie policy.
3. How that data reaches us
When you click send, the forms send your answers to our own server. It turns them into a single email and delivers it to our mailbox — after that nothing is kept on the server. There is no database behind this website: what we receive is an ordinary email.
To prevent abuse of the forms, the server keeps the IP address of each submission in working memory for a few minutes. It is not stored anywhere and disappears by itself.
4. Why we use it
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Responding to your demo request and scheduling an appointment | Legitimate interest: you contacted us yourself and expect a reply |
| Notifying you at launch and granting the launch discount | Consent, which you can withdraw at any time |
| Tailoring the demo to the size and working method of your firm | Legitimate interest: a demo that does not fit helps no one |
| Drawing up a quote or subscription if you ask for one | Necessary to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract |
We do not use your data for anything else. We do not send a newsletter unless you ask for one separately, and we do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
5. How long we keep it
- Demo requests and questions: up to a maximum of two years after our last contact.
- Registrations for the launch discount: until launch and at most twelve months after, or until you unsubscribe.
- If you become a customer: we keep your data for as long as your subscription runs, and afterwards for as long as the law requires. For invoicing data that is seven years.
6. Who we share it with
This website loads no external file whatsoever. So no data goes to Google, to a font service or to an advertising network — not even your IP address.
What you send through the forms reaches the parties we need in order to operate:
- Our email provider — Resend (Resend, Inc., USA; processing under EU standard contractual clauses) — processes the messages you send us through the forms.
- Our hosting provider — Combell (Combell Group nv, Ghent, Belgium; servers in the EU) — hosts this website.
We have the necessary data processing agreements with these parties. We do not pass your data on to others, unless the law obliges us to.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- see which data we hold about you;
- have it corrected if it is wrong;
- have it erased;
- have the processing restricted;
- object to processing based on legitimate interest;
- receive your data in a readable format;
- withdraw your consent, without affecting what happened before.
One email to info@b-abel.be is enough. We respond within thirty days. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels — dataprotectionauthority.be.
8. Security
This website is offered exclusively over a secure connection. Our mailboxes are protected with strong passwords and two-factor authentication. Only those who need to follow up on your request get to see your data.
9. If you become a customer
From the moment you work with B-abel, the roles change. Your files then contain data of your clients, contractors and contacts. For that data you are the controller and we are the processor: we only do with that data what you instruct us to.
We lay that down in a separate data processing agreement, together with the list of sub-processors we use and the location where your data is stored. Feel free to request it via info@b-abel.be. This privacy statement does not cover that — it is only about this website.
10. Changes
If anything changes about this website or the way we handle your data, we update this text and the date at the top changes. In the event of a significant change we notify everyone who has registered.
